My husband Jim and myself, along with our two children are part of a group of friends that  most  years rent a villa in a different location around the Mediterranean.

A few years ago, twelve of us rented a beautiful five bed roomed villa in Cala d'Or. that had luxurious fixtures and furniture. It had a kidney shaped swimming pool that all the children seemed to spend all day in, splashing about and generally having great fun.

Often, most of our days were spent on the beach. The children loved the sand and the warm water, whilst the parents loved the relaxation. Evenings were spent around the barbeque in the garden, or we would dress up and go to a local restaurant.

Things To Do. Places to Visit.

If you have children (even if you don't) a visit to Europe's largest water theme park is a must, with attractions like 'The Beast' 'Lazy River' 'Black Hole' and 'Tornado'
At MarineLand you'll see dolphins, sea lions and parrots along with many other exotic creatures.
For adults there's the Son Amar, the famous international cabaret show.
A leisurely drive through the mountains and villages is another good day out.

Places to Eat and Drink

There's an abundance or cafes, restaurants and bars serving traditional local and international cuisine, at prices well below the UK.

How To Get To Your Villa

There are 'low cost flights' galore from most UK regional airports to Mallorca. All the villas are within about an hour and a half's drive from the airport. A car may be easily hired at the airport, or you may consider taking an inexpensive taxi.
